Acer presents its range of terminals
We are glad that among the mobiles that Acer has presented today there is, finally, the DX650 that we saw the other day. Its design was quite ugly. This is not the case of the other models, although in general terms they have left us quite cold. It cannot be said that they have made a big entrance in the world of mobile telephony.
There have been four models presented: the Acer X960, the Acer F900, the Acer M900 and the Acer DX900, all of them within a range that they have named Tempo. They do not present great news and would only have managed to stand out if they were to announce with Windows Mobile 6.5, but this has not been the case.
We start with the Acer X960, a terminal with a 2.8-inch screen and a resolution of 640 × 480 pixels. It has 3G connectivity compatible with HSPA, in addition to Wi-Fi and Bluetooth. The camera is 3.2 megapixels.
Acer has included an interface above Windows Mobile with which they offer direct access to applications, through the use of widgets on the main screen. Also, it comes with Naigon navigation software to take advantage of the receiver Gps, being a trial version that we can buy later.
The first thing that catches the eye of the Acer F900 is its huge 3.8-inch screen. Growing so much, he had no choice but to increase the resolution, which in this case is 800 × 480 pixels. Otherwise, its characteristics are quite similar to those of the previous model.
In this case, the camera does include autofocus, while the weight of the terminal increases to 150 grams, in addition to including an accelerometer to automatically rotate the screen.
In the wake of the previous model, but including a keyboard QWERTY Sliding, there is the Acer M900. It offers the same 3.8-inch screen and 800 × 480 pixel resolution, but adds under it a fingerprint reader that will allow us to protect data and access to the phone only to authorized users.
In this model a much better camera has been included, with 5 megapixels of resolution and autofocus, to which is added a flash. Otherwise, without major changes.
Finally, the Acer DX900 presents as its main novelty the use of two cards SIM at the same time, although only one of them with 3G connectivity. Its characteristics are similar to those of the first model we have seen.
Thus, it has a 2.8-inch screen with a resolution of 640 × 480 pixels and a 3-megapixel camera with autofocus, with a total weight of 147 grams.
