Blyk, advertising in exchange for free mobile calls

We skip the rule that it is a gadget that appears in Xataka because the news can have important repercussions in the field of mobile telephony. And we do not say it to say. What would you think of a project led by the former president of Nokia? And the ex of marketing accompanies him.

This project is called Blyk and will be launched in the UK first for users aged 16-24. What they will do is buy minutes from your operator with the intention that the advertising they send you will cover those expenses and thus the calls to you from your phone will be free. At the moment they have Coca Cola or Buenavista among the companies that will participate.

This is what many of us have been hoping would ever happen, but we looked at the king of modern advertising, Google. If this initiative is successful, they will export it to other countries.

What do you think of the idea?
