HP loops a cable to Palm and itself
Go the news that just hit the net: HP has been the one that has finally bought Palm. After the no of HTC, the brand of computers is launched by the historic company and acquires it for a figure close to 1,200 million dollars.
There are not many secrets about what HP is going to do with Palm. What HP wanted was the WebOS operating system and they have taken it. They will continue to develop it to base their new strategy on advanced telephony and surely on tablets.
This is excellent news for the market, as one of the most interesting competitors in the so-called new smartphone operating systems has life, surely more than what has been demonstrated so far. Congratulations to HP and also to Palm owners who will see the support of their operating system that was on the tightrope, now has a powerful backup.
