HTC HD Mini, a powerful phone that fits in your pocket

For those of us who use the phone mainly at home, we don't care much about a big screen. But we were coming to a time when powerful phone was immediately associated with large size, largely the fault of screens.

He HTC HD Mini follows the trend of the Sony Ericsson Mini and Mini Pro and shrinks to fit in our pocket, although only in the part of its length, and with respect to the HTC HD2 from which it comes, for example it has the same size as a HTC Hero. So it is Mini but not as much as we could initially think.

HTC HD Mini, because we have the right to a small and powerful phone

Since the HTC Legend and Desire are model updates that we already knew, this HTC HD Mini is the most interesting model of the novelties of HTC in this MWC 2010.

From the outset, it should be noted that we are not dealing with an Android phone but rather an initial commitment to Windows Mobile 6.5.3, like its older brother, the HTC HD2.

He HTC HD Mini attracts a lot of attention. In the hand it gives the feeling of really being a phone with the same quality of finish as the older ones.

3.2 inch touch screen where we see HTC Sense

Despite the fact that it is compact although only in its length (103.8 X 57.7 X 11.7 mm and weight of 110 grams), the HTC HD Mini cannot complain about small screen. They are 3.2 inches of capacitive screen (it is not AMOLED, which would have given it a plus of value) with a resolution of 320 × 480 pixels in which everything is managed by a 600 Mhz processor with 384 MB of RAM.

The camera of the HTC HD Mini is 5 megapixels with autofocus and flash, a standard already in the latest brand phones, and incorporates as connectivity elements the Gps, Bluetooth and Wifi. As the model from which it comes, we can configure it to be used as a WiFi router.

Regarding the contents that we want to reproduce or store, the microSD card will be the only method that we will have, since the internal memory is only about 500 MB.

Like its other traveling companions, the interface HTC Sense makes us forget about the real operating system we are working with. At least until Windows Phone 7 Series arrives.

He HTC HD Mini goes on sale in April and in Spain it is already confirmed that Vodafone will be the one to offer it in its catalog.
