HTC Smart brings Sense to the lower-middle range
HTC has brought its Sense interface to various operating systems, both Android and Windows Mobile, but in this life not everything comes down to smartphonesso with the HTC Smart They take this interface to another category of terminals with specifications and a lower cost.
He HTC Smart It works with the Brew platform, focused on low and mid-range mobiles, so it will not be strange to find it very cheap in the catalog of various operators. On this platform they have implemented HTC Sense to add extra features more typical of phones with greater power.
It has a 2.8-inch touch screen with a resolution of 320 x 240 pixels and offers HSDPA connectivity at 3.6 megabits per second. In this case, we forget about Wi-Fi and we are left with only mobile connectivity. To a 300 MHz processor it adds a 256 MB RAM and a 110 mAh battery that offers an autonomy of 25 days at rest and up to 7.5 hours in conversation.
The camera of the HTC Smart It is 3 megapixels, without autofocus but with flash, and allows the reproduction of multimedia content in MP4, 3GP, M4V, AAC, MP3, WMA and WAV. All these files can be stored on MicroSD memory cards and listened to through conventional headphones, thanks to the 3.5 mm connector, or wirelessly, via Bluetooth 2.0.
If we go from the specifications and focus on the software, we see that HTC Sense offers us Scenes, different ways that we can easily change, for example one for work days, another for weekends, ... With them we can change the different panels and shortcuts that are on the screen.
It is, therefore, the attempt to bring more powerful interfaces to simpler phones. We will see how this movement turns out for HTC, which will put it on sale this spring at a price not yet announced.
