Inbrics M1 to Present at MWC as a Telephone MID
Where do we consider the barrier between MID to be, small tablet or mobile phone? In size? The Dell Mini 5 seems that it marked very well in the 5 inches the step to be a more advanced device, close to the MID concept that did not finish taking off a few years ago.
Inbrics puts the barrier on the technology that is included in the device, going beyond the size of the screen. In their Inbrics M1 model they opt for a 3.7-inch AMOLED type and yet they will present it in Barcelona, within MWC 2010, as a MID with 3G connectivity and mobile phone functionalities.
Despite what they tell us, the Inbrics seems and is a smartphone. Its processor is an ARM Cortex A8 800 MHz with full QWERTY keyboard, double camera (one front and one 3 megapixel), GPS, WiFi and Wimax.
Its operating system will be Android 1.5 and although it is present in Barcelona, in Europe it is not expected to come out until the end of the year or the beginning of 2011, at which time it will no longer be an interesting option.
