Nokia 5330 Mobile TV, special edition to relaunch mobile television

Nokia wants to relaunch the topic of television on mobile by presenting a new terminal, the Nokia 5330 Mobile TV Edition. This phone that comes with a 2.4-inch screen is capable of receiving the DVB-H technology television signal, as well as having a 3.5 mm headphone output.

As a terminal focused on mobile television, the Nokia 5330 Mobile TV comes with an electronic programming guide and a series of applications to aid in the experience, such as notices when programs that we are interested in watching start or the possibility of creating our own programming grid.

Surely like me you have thought about the issue of autonomy. Nokia promises up to 6 hours of uninterrupted television on this Nokia 5330 Mobile TV. And as for the reception of the signal, as it happens with the radio, the headphones act as an antenna, so we must have them connected for the signal to be adequate.

As for the phone as a terminal, it is a 3G model with a 3.2 megapixel camera and direct access to the most used social networks.

Mobile television services based on DVB-H will start definitively in 2010, with a year ahead to be implemented in most countries. Initially, Spain is not among those who will have this possibility immediately.
