Nokia 5530 XpressMusic
We started the week strong with several Nokia launches, although probably the one that will attract the most attention will be the Nokia 5530 XpressMusic, as it is the third of the Nokia terminals that come with a touch screen, after the N97 and 5800. In fact , it could be said that it is a cheap version of the latter.
And it is that they share much of the design and similar features, although simpler in this 5530. It will be especially welcome by those who were not interested in the 5800 as a device to access the Internet and, therefore, did not want it accompanied by a fee data as many operators were offering.
The Nokia 5530 XpressMusic does not have 3G connectivity, but comes only with GPRS, but it does include Wi-Fi connectivity, so we can take advantage of it to connect to the network whenever we have an available access point. Thus we avoid relying on data rates.
This phone, whose casing has a stainless steel finish and will be offered in five different colors, has a 2.9-inch touch screen with 640 × 360 resolution, a autonomy in music playback of 27 hours and comes with a 4 GB memory to store our files. Its camera is 3.2 megapixels and includes a flash LED.
It improves the interface offered by the 5800, offering access to twenty contacts instead of four, of which we will be able to see at a glance the latest emails, calls, photos or updates from Internet sites. In addition, it includes the Media Bar, to access multimedia files and online sites such as Ovi Share, Flickr or Vox. We will take advantage of it with the connection of 3.5 mm headphones.
The Nokia 5530 XpressMusic will go on sale during the third quarter of the year and will be priced at 199 euros, before taxes and subsidies.
