Nokia X2, music and photos at a good price

Initially announced to appear in India, the Nokia X2 is a new phone from the young X series that will arrive in summer to the main markets of the Finnish company, which in recent days seems to be quite active.

After the important presentation of the Nokia N8, we find ourselves with a less ambitious phone, but no less interesting. As it would not be otherwise, the phone follows the design line of the Nokia X3 and X6 16GB, but with a fairly compact size, highlighting a thickness of 13 mm and 81 grams of weight.

Entering specifications, the Nokia X2 has a 2.2-inch screen and resolution QVGA. The operating system used is the most basic of the company, Series 40 (9.2), but it seems to me to spare for the possibilities of the phone.

In the photographic section we find a 5 megapixel camera (Full Focus), with flash and 4x digital zoom. The flash can be used as a flashlight.

The Nokia X2 has stereo speakers, dedicated multimedia buttons, FM radio, Bluetooth 2.1, 3.5mm jack connector and support for up to 16GB of memory via microSD card. I think there is little doubt that in this sense the phone is well served, with an autonomy of 26 hours of music playback.

To not forget about social networks, from the home screen we will have direct access to Facebook and Nokia Messaging, the Finnish solution for mail and instant messaging. The phone also has access to the Ovi Store, and the possibilities that this can bring to a phone.

The Nokia X2 is expected to hit the market in summer 2010, its estimated retail price is € 85 (free, before taxes and subsidies). As you can see in the images, the device will be available in the colors black and red or silver and blue.

I think Nokia is still on the right track when it comes to pricing, with affordable, well-designed and comprehensive terminals. I leave you with a gallery of the terminal:
