Sony Ericsson Aspen, QWERTY keyboard and touchscreen in one

Sony Ericsson Aspen has been unveiled today, and it swells the ranks of the conscientious GreenHeart family. This time we find a Windows Mobile device in its version 6.5.3, which stands out for its double control system: touch screen and QWERTY keyboard.

It seems that Sony Ericsson is still betting on Windows Mobile, since we are facing the second terminal on the market to use the new version of the Microsoft operating system, but this time adorned by the panel system of the Sony Ericsson Xperia family.

Entering specifications we will tell you that its touch screen is 2.4 inches and resolution QVGA, and although they do not specify it, it seems clear that it is resistive, you only have to take a look at the pointer that it has incorporated. It will have Wi-Fi connectivity, HSPA and Bluetooth, and the chosen storage memory is a 4GB microSD card.

The camera of the Sony Ericsson Aspen is 3.2 megapixels, unfortunately without autofocus or Flash, a strange detail in the brand that always takes care of this section. I do not forget to comment that it has a GPS receiver, and connectors USB and Jack 3.5mm for our headphones.

Its design, especially the black model, seems aimed at the same market in which the BlackBerry or Nokia E72 coexist, to me it seems quite successful and original within the Sony Ericsson family. Its dimensions are 117 × 60 × 12.45mm, and its weight is 130 grams.

For those who are more lost, I inform you that GreenHeart is an initiative of SonyEricsson that is based on developing phones made with recyclable materials (also in their packaging), have low-energy chargers, and manuals in digital format to save on paper and Print.

As we can see in the images, it will be available in two colors: Iconic Black and White Silver. We do not know prices or availability dates, but I am sure we will be able to see it at the Mobile World Congress in Barcelona.
